KANPUR: The Delhi-bound Gomti Express (12419) was stopped at Unnao railway station and fogging exercise was conducted after a member of Parliament from Etah complained of mosquito bites inside the train. Officials said Etah MP Rajveer Singh, who was travelling in H1 coach of the train on Saturday, raised an alarm about the mosquito menace. The complaint was made by one Maan Singh, accompanying the MP, on Twitter. He said, “Rajveer ji is traveling in the train, mosquitoes are biting him and the toilet of the train is also dirty. Due to which he (MP) is feeling very uncomfortable.” As soon as the complaint surfaced, senior railway officials swung into action. The train was stopped at Unnao and sent ahead only after cleaning the bogie and carrying out fogging exercises to drive away mosquitoes.
